IS250 HIDs Issue
Hello All,
I am in the process of trying to get a new set of HIDs installed on my 2006 IS250 AWD. When I first got the HIDs installed a couple years back I went with 6k for Lows and Fogs. I noticed that with the projectors in the low beams, it altered the color output between Lows and Fogs.
This time I am looking to get 5k installed for Lows and Fogs. My assumption is the projector will alter the color again. I hate how they do not look flush. Anyone know what I can do to match the colors or if I just have to deal with it. Just looking to get the Lows and Fogs to match a bit better.
I also do not mind sticking with the 6K, but I read a while back in a thread that the 5k are less distored by the projectors.

Well OP, it's kinda impossible to match a projector color with a reflector one. Many have tried and they just never seem to match. I have 5000K for my low beam and fogs and the projectors show a hint of blue. I wanted them to match too but it's not a huge difference where it bothers me. The only way for them to match is to retrofit projectors in the fog lights, which a few members have done.
There was also a thread from way back of members recommending brands of HID kits to get the closest match, but I forgot what the title was

as stated previously, it's not going to match and is going to be hard to match "perfectly" being one is projector and the other with no projector ... unless you retrofit the same projectors into the fogs ... even at that, the angle of the output will still have a slight difference in shades (unless standing at a certain range or angle will make it almost identical in shades). that will be the closest you can get it. other option is to just change it to a different color for fogs like making it yellow with bulb or film to cover the lens. if it bothers you that much, don't use your fogs at all lol just saying. it bothers me a lot when it doesn't match. therefore, i only use one of the other but never at the same time. the brand people use that's popular is the polarg but it still doesn't match perfectly. hope this helps.
