IS250 RWD makes knocking noise when in park or reverse
Today I jacked my car up from the underbody (inner right front of rear tires) in order to lower my car.
When bringing the car back down I noticed the jack had pushed the under body up way more so then it was before I put the car on a jack stand.
Now when I put the car in reverse OR drive AND sit inside the vehicle, I hear knocking/ticking noises... If I get out of the car while the vehicle is in drive or reverse the knocking goes away. (I do this with the emergency brake on so the car won't move while in gear)
What is your opinion on this?
Have I pushed the under body up in a manner that gets VERY close to the rear driveshaft and actually touches the rear driveshaft when I sit in the car?

Unfortunately I don't have a solution and will be diagnosing something similar tonight. I lowered my 250 AWD on S-techs and once inawhile get this knocking nose in D. Goes away in N. Always thought it was the infamous AWD vibration but its different.
I was assuming that a hanger in my exhaust rusted out and the exhaust is knocking against the body (Y pipe area). My knock comes from the passenger side and similar to yours, can only hear it from the inside of the car.

Yeap, I put the car up on a rack. I saw that my rear underbody sway bar was bent up... And it was close to the exhaust Y pipe. When the y pipe would get hot it would expand. And touch the sway bar. I removed the sway bar. No more noise. And no more throwing sparks on the highway either. That sway bar was the lowest point of the rear of the car to the surface of the payment. Because I'm so low to the ground, I'd also get sparks on certain dips on the highway.
