Default IS250 Accident:( need help

Hey Guys,

Havent posted up for a long time now been busy with work. Last night I got into a bad car accident at a intersection.

The car took a lot of damage and the wheel is bent up and basically facing inwards, its hard to see in the pictures but the whole side of the car is banged up. The door would not close or open.

What do you guys think it would cost to repair or does it look like it'll be totalled?

Pics are attached

It was dark out and the phone my friend had wasnt the greatest.

Sorry to see but glad you're ok! It could have been a lot worse getting hit on driver side like that. To me, looks totaled because possible frame damage and bent axle.

A) it wouldn't matter what the cost would be because if you were to fix it, you most likely wouldn't be paying out of pocket. You would just be paying your insurance deductible

B) its going to be a total loss, so insurance wont even fix it. point A goes out the window..

Glad you're okay though, but sorry for the loss.

Let's see...

In terms of body you need to replace and paint the driver door, fender, rocker molding&panel, a&b pillars...blend refinish hood, bumper, roof rail, rear door...

In terms of mechanical you need to replace the whole shock/strut assembly, wheel, tire...

That's just half of it!

Then you need to pay labor for all the replacement parts, alignment, set-up&measure, frame pull, tire mount and balance, buffing&polishing then of course paint materials, supplies, tax...

I'd say 10k + for a quality repair.

It may not be totaled but heck I wouldn't want it at that point.

Yes that car is totalled. Any frame damage or cost to repair that will be more than 50% of the value of the car and will likely be totalled either way. Plus the pillar in between the front driver fender and driver side door is bent so most likely its totalled.

Glad you are okay!

I wouldn't wanna fix that....anything that involves damage to suspension will never drive the same again...not to mention the bent frame...car is done, make sure u push the insurance to total it. You do have full coverage right?

Glad you and everyone came out safely.
Did the airbags deploy?
looking at the damage definately looks totalled,
let the adjuster/inspector take a look @ it and go from there.

I'd say the unibody took a lot of damage and I would not be surprised if the floor on the driver side buckled a bit. With that I would agree with every one else and say the insurance company will most likely total it.
