Default Help!!! 2006 is350 dead won't turn over... now what?

2006 is350
So the battery is dead as I spent 5 hours cleaning and waxing my car with all doors open and radio blaring... my first mistake.
I pull it out and fully recharge and reinstall , turns once and quits.
I hook up jumper cables to the battery and try giving it an extra boost.
Here is where i think I screwed up royally as the terminals were not marked and as usual being a hurry I think I reversed the polarity???.
So now doors won't lock, the battery light is on, engine light is on, and the start button is orange plus the triangle also shows up.
All these lights stay on until I disconnect the battery.
I search a little and find it may be fuses so I pull covers off all 4 and check all is well.
I am thinking now it could be ECU but unsure how to check or even find this to do so. Really am at a loss as to what else it could be. Anyone?

Hate to give up but think I may need to call the tow truck and prepare to get reamed by the dealer

First mistake was not searching. When you unplug the battery it takes two crank to start back up. I know there was another thread were some one did the same thing but I don't remember the out come.

Even if you get it towed, do not take it to the dealer... take it to an independent mechanic, maybe one that specializes in Toyota/Lexus vehicles.

EDIT: Or even take it to a Toyota dealer if you MUST take it to a dealer. You will pay far less.

Big mistake a lot of people do and a lot of times the outcome was thousands of dollars to replace burnt up ECU.

Woohoo..... just pressed the start button twice without hitting the brake pedal and it seems to have reset everything. I am now up and running... oh happy days

You definitely lucked out, glad to hear you weren't one of the few that had this error cost them tons to fix their vehicle.

With so many electronic components in modern cars... it's so easy to fry something.

Glad this story had a good ending. Fried Ecu sucks... it leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Or like in my case in my roommate's CRX was a 50 amp fuse. Dang polarity was reverse of that of my two Civics. Grrrrrr!
