Battery is sliding around???
So recently I found my battery was losing charge after it refused to turn over one morning, and when I went to replace it the tech told me that the clamp over the top of the battery wasnt down so my battery was just bouncing around in my engine bay.
They also told me that the battery loses charge when it bounces around like that, what’s the best way to fix that if it’s true? I know I could probably get another clamp but right now I’m not in a situation where I could get another one quickly, and I don’t want to have to spend another $140 on another battery anytime soon.
EDIT: I forgot to mention my car is a 2006 IS350, if that counts for anything.

You just need to hold it down. You can find some metal rod at Home Depot and drill a screw through to secure. Only if you’re tool savvy.
a tie down isn’t considered expensive and perhaps around $20. Better to buy that and correct your problem than to destroy your battery and possible have the battery destroy other things in your engine bay.
A battery rocking around is probably the most dangerous thing since it could catch fire and it’s heavy.
