You can always make a note of it with Lexus. I am sure they are aware of the issue with our cars.

I'll try and get a video of mine too, mine sounds much like scoobys but sometimes lasts longer. Can't say it happens in the heat more than the cold, (I'm in Canada) so we get some pretty hot 25+ and cold -25 temperatures throughout the year. I get this sound in the summer and in the winter. Since I'm in no position to be swapping around rides or anything I just live with it because its so intermittent. But if you notice it happening often and you can't stand it, (and if your prepared to) then by all means part with it. I'm not sure of the climate down under; like the average temperatures and humidity. Maybe that has an effect on it, who knows?

Personally I think the 250 motor is quirky and I suspect the DI system is the culprit

Thanks guys for your replyes! I really cant stand it as i had enough with my PUG407! I got rid of that crab because of the exactly same reason! ( but happening everytime and much louder and longer) , i took scooby's advice and made a complain to head office of lexus! Let see how it goes! I'm affraid if i should figth with another Manufacturer as i dis that with pegeout!!! with no result! Not sure if lexi's customer support is as rubbish as pug!

WHY IT's ALWAYS ME??!?!?!?!?!? I hate vvt system since i had problem with them in every single car i had! And now it's time for lexus! Kill me!

fortunately i managed to catch the rattling noise on video, however, the quality is not so good and you need to lesson carefully to the video to hear the rattle between second 2 and 3 of the video. as i said before the noise show up so intermittently and it's so hard to tape it and i videoed it after couple of days of try! probably i can tape it again in better quality, but i send it to you as a proof of the noise , i will enhance the video later on to make the noise more clear and send it to you again

will run out warranty at 30th of may! then technically just 2 days left!

i videoed the noise, but the quality is not very good! let see how it will go with Lexus! the head office told me since you notified us withing warranty period then if you can prove it later they will fix it! but that's just words! they can deny it later! and wont give me anything in writing!
but they seem good people! not sure they are or not as i cannot trust any car people since i had many bad experiences before!
