ULTINON! Everything else in D4S is whack unless Osram comes out with a D4S CBI.

I have the D2S CBI and they are simply amazing. The night parts like the Red Sea and angels cry.

Have you thought about simply getting a 5000K D4S bulb to make the process easier?

Danny,
I may opt to settle for a 5000K D4S since this will be a cheaper route . However, I am wondering if I should go for OSRAM CBI in 5500K (D2S) to get the best of both worlds. Has anyone tested Ultinon 5000K and OSRAM 5500K (both D2S of course) and compared the color and light output? This will help.

Is there any other bulb out there in D4S that will give me the "best of both worlds".

Thanks.

I thought that the Philips Ultinon is only in 6000k, but I am not expert since I see it posted above.. Here's a CL link that someone is comparing the OSRAM to OEM Philips: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/lig...s-85122-a.html

So Danny are you saying that if we buy a D2S bulb, even though the base is different than a D4S, it will fit our Lexus which asks for D4S? That would be interesting if it works!!

Correct BUT YOU CAN'T install a D2S bulb with a D4S ballast or the other way around as that would NOT WORK. The bases are same on both bulbs.

Philips Ultinon's are 6000K but we do have our XenonDepot HID bulbs in 5000K.

Danny

Apparently, there is a 5000K Ultinon. Check this http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Genuine-PHILIPS-5000K-Ultinon-D4S-HID-XENON-BULBS-42402CX-Mercury-Free-Real-/251282681555?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a819d6ed3&vxp=mtr. Based on others on various forums, I believe this seller has genuine stuff.

OSRAM CBI used to be 5000K. Recently, I came across http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=131073538696&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en, hence mention of OSRAM now supplying D2S bulbs at 5500K. Has anyone used these bulbs?

Thanks.

Those are some pretty interesting stats!

XenonDepot D4S HID bulbs only provide 7-10% less light then stock, and offer crisp white 5000k colour output - Only $79.98 shipped within the continental USA - Make sure to use coupon code KBD4S upon checkout.

Hi, do you ship to New Zealand? Doesn't seem to be an option on the website?

We probably could - Just responded to your question.

FYI - we recently added the D4S 5000k Ultinon bulbs to our site.
