Default Are 6000k xenon bulbs cop magnets?

I am looking into upgrading my 4300k HID to the 6000k. I have a few questions:

1) do they give the bluish/white hue better than the 4300s?
2) are they too strong for oncoming traffic?
3) will i be pulled over alot with them?

thanks.

1. The bulbs produce White/Blue color output. Better? In terms of color, Yes. In terms of performance, No.
2. Too strong? Probably not because the colored bulbs are dimmer.
3. Will you get pulled over? Depends on the officer, but yes, 6000K is not dot compliant.

Yea they do, but as xenon bulbs get older, they get bluer

Yes, 6000k's are noticeably whiter than the stock 4100k bulbs. Depending on which brand you buy, there may be a slight bluish tint as well.

This has more to do with properly aiming your headlights than what temperature bulbs you run.

Depends completely on your local law enforcement. I've had my 6000k's for over a year, and lived in three different law enforcement districts. Cops have never even looked twice at my car.

It depends what you're looking for. Some want the whiter/bluer color that 6000k bulbs offer, some want the most light output possible. A xenon 6000k setup won't produce as much visible light as a 4100 or 4300k setup will, but it's far superior to halogen lighting. Hope this helps!

There is nothing remotely wrong with the stock HIDs IMO, I mean the 6000k do look nicer, but theres nothing wrong with the ones that came with the car so why change them?? Id rather spend the money on something else.

Personally I like the stock HIDs, but when they burn out I will probably move to something in the 5000K temp.

they seem yellowish because the bulbs are new (they are brightest also), let them break in a little bit if you want color, its free! sure they will be dimmer but you will have your color. also you dont see this but projector headlights give off flicker this is at the cutoff where the spectrum of color is at

(this is why you see the true purple and blue when you see a car with OEM xenons approaching) while the IS doesnt do this as much as other cars, it still does, stick with OEM

as for if they are too strong only way this would be is if you are putting them into a non HID headlight, then it trully does depend on the headlight some headlights shoot up a TON of glare and this is dangerous, I have seen HID kits, and all colors of bulbs in lexus' and they all disperse the light pretty well

a cop once told me that while they are not ontop of the whole HID game, they pretty much now what cars come with it OEM and which ones dont,

if you drove a neon, or a cavalier and you have glare going all over the place, and purple azz headlights a cop knows better, lol I dont think you are fooling anyone

but when cops see our cars with them they think its OEM

I spent a hundred bucks on a pair of 6000k and I personally like them better. The road looks whiter and the light doesn't look any dimmer but it may be just me. They seem to flicker colors a lot more also.

I had 6000k hids on my 98 accord for about 2 years while living in north mississippi. I probably drove though reform and gordo, on my way to tuscaloosa and birmingham 10-20 times, and I never got hassled by the cops. I'm sure you know how much some of those places love to pull people over and hand out tickets. I moved back to california when I got out. I was in san diego for a year and never got hassled there either about my lights. I sold my car to a friend in san deigo, and to my knowledge he's never been pulled over about the lights and thats been another 2 years now.

my lights are rated at 7500k and cops never looked twice at my car. *knock on wood* I must admit though, they look more bluish than white but then again, mine didnt come with HID's... So i have to stick with aftermarket.

really ? every car i went to the dealership to look at had them already .. the sales person said i dont have to worry about adding them on even if i didnt want to because all the cars that come in have them ... but maybe the 2006's didnt all have them right ?
