Has anyone bought on of these or used one? Ill be coming up on my first oil change soon and was debating on a DIY or just taking it into the dealer.

Also in that listing it says you could upgrade to an alluminum houseing also.... any benefits to this?

I think the upgrade is for those that have a plastic cap. Ours is already metal, I assume aluminum.

The tool looks cool, the one I have sucks.

The tool I've got I've just left on the aluminum cansiter; it's so hard to remove, I've just left it. LOL! Just have to grab the right socket every oil change.
