38K Rear Differential and Driveshafts Leak!???
Hey every one newer to CL and forms but have become kinda addicted lol site and members are all very helpful so i need some advice and opinions.
My 09 IS250 AWD has 38K and is leaking from the rear diff and left drive shaft (the right was changed under warranty at 35K) i'm interested to know if this is a conman problem at suck low miles? because according to the serv rep when the right side was done its not but now I find the left is leaking along with the diff. The car was also just in for and oil change at the dealer and they did there full overall check on the car and didn't say anything bought the problems on the check list all is green
I have always had a good experience at my local Lexus dealer so well see how they handle this one i just feel a little let down by them for not catching this or maybe hiding it ( car has been sitting in garage for a week found the drops on the floor today and investigated under the car) Ill update the post once i take it to Lexus and see what they have to say.
Also Car Is 100% stock For now
All feedback is appreciated thanks in advanced
This is a link with more pics of the leaks and the new side vs Bad

Based on the pics, they should have caught this long ago. Either they were incompetent or never actually checked during your regular service. I would raise ****, since you paid for the various “inspections” during those service.

That looks like the diff cover is leaking and spewing all over, to play it safe if the dealer wouldn't take care of it. You can take it to any mechanic or you can do it yourself. Its very easy task!
If you were to do it yourself I would use a degrease the day before you replace that way you can see it where it is actually leaking from.

Went to the dealer today spoke directly with the service manager i informed him how i was disappointed with them missing the problems and that normally the service is 100%. He apologized said he was going to take care of it with no problem have the tech take a look to see what parts needed to be ordered when they come in give me a call set me up with a loaner and it would be done in a day or two. They got the car in to a tech immediately was out of there in 15 minutes. hopefully they get the parts in fast and finish it up before the holiday don't wanna take it on a long drive with the problems
I'll update when i get it fixed.

^Sounds like they're on top of it! But you're right, they should have caught the leak on the visual inspections. Not the first dealership though hoping a customer to not catch a little oil leak. Honestly, if it had been ME fixing the leak...I would have done it right and replaced ALL of the seals/gaskets while under there.
