Is bank 2 the driver side or passenger side?
Got a CEL that points to my cats going bad but before I replace those, I'm going to replace my O2 sensor to see if it could be that. My only question is which side is bank 2 on the 2IS? I hear bank 2 is always the passenger side but I've heard otherwise.

Bank 1 is the bank with the cylinder towards the front of the engine. Bank 2 is obviously the other side.
For Toyota V6 engines, bank 1 is the RH bank, which in a longitudinally mounted car like the ISx50, that is the passenger side.
Bank 1 = passenger side (RH)
Bank 2 = driver side (LH)
NOTE: For Toyota V8 engines, bank 1 is the LH bank, so for the IS F, that is the driver's side.

According to this official document:
- IS 250 2006-2010; IS250C 2010 are with Engine model number 4GR-FSE. First Cylinder is on the passenger side, therefore Bank 1 is on the passenger side; Bank 2 is on driver side!
- IS 350 2006-2010; IS350C 2020 are with Engine model number 2GR-FSE. Same as above
- IS F 2008-2010; has Engine model number 2UR-GSE. This is a V8 and First Cylinder is on Driver side, therefore Bank 1 is on driver side. Bank 2 is on passenger side.
