Volk TE37 - 19x12..assistance please
Hi guys, let me get to the point / ask - How bad would a 275 tire look stretched on a 12" wide rim?
275/30-19
19x12" TE37
I'm not a stance nation kind of ride...I've always used tires that function over form. In this case, I can get a 12" wide rim thats lighter then most 19s regardless of size. Its going to be a struggle to fit that wide (I think) but the deal was too good to pass up.
Any way, my question, will a 275 look tooo stretched on a rim thats 12" wide!?!?!?!? What are your thoughts, examples, suggestions or hate?
Heres a pic...wheel currently has a 295/30 on it thats too meaty and will not tuck!
19x12, 295/30 next to 19x9.5, 265/35-
No dialed in camber and spacer that will go away...so -5mm will help just a tiny bit here. 295/30 are rediculous-
more to come with 275 tires..

275 will look great and not too much stretch, but enough to clear. add some negative camber and lower the car more and it'll look great.
but why on earth would you want a 12" wide wheel on an IS? you don't have the power to do those wheels justice.

thats going to be extremely tough. going to have to do a pull or overfender and make it look like track. the 19x12 isnt impossible esp with high offset of +45. but for sure to make them to tuck you will need pull/overfender and some camber! if you want no camber for the function then its going to look pretty sillyyyy! going to be mexi-flush. i recommend that you get some over fender so it doesnt look as bad. with the over fender it will help cover up the poke.

I think its going to look very weird. Your IS won't put the 'function' part into use when you have to camber/stretch/pull/etc and you're better off with something less aggressive yet maintain a nice form and function.

Didnt get home til after midnight but had to try one on jackstands with my newly stretched 275/35-19! Rear on jackstands, NO camber, need to dial in and lower coilovers...That said, the results will only get better but they fit as is!
Everythings gonna be alright Grainy iPhone pic with no lighting
Bead goop all over the place...and again...car is 1ft off the ground on stands
Will post results tonight when I put the car on the ground!

Fronts are x9 +22 with a thin wall 235/35 giving just enough to pull off a stretched but not look. I'll post pics
