first of all i'm pretty sure it is spelled as INFINITI
i love my IS350, but i dont understand why everybody keeps on saying we have a much better interior among the competition. i actually think infiniti interiors look a lot better esp the dash.
and i would agree with most, change is good, so go for it!

I had an '08 G35S (Sedan) and when I was shopping, it was between this car and the IS350.
G35S Pros - Better: Electronics, Nav, Handling. More room and Trunk Space.
IS350 Pros - Better Interior, More quality parts, paint, quicker, more luxurious (plush feeling)
Though the IS350 is a bit smaller and less capable in handling and not as up to date tech (electronics), If I had to do it over again, I would go with an IS350.. Its hard to put in those words the "feel" of the car but overall after putting 20K on the Infiniti in one year, I got tired of it and sold it. If i didn't find my almost brand new GS430, I would be driving a IS350 or ISF.

we have both infinitis and toyotas, lexi in the family. the infiniti definitely drives sportier, handles better, faster, more power. quality not on par however with lexus for sure on some aspects
lexus excels at quality and trouble free luxury. better resale, fewer issues in the long run.

huh? where did you get that info
a g will smoke the IS and outhandle it anyday. dont matter which g it is. even the older 2nd gen g's will give the IS a run for its money.

Uh, many magazine test say IS350 is quicker to 60 and to the Qtr mile than the G35S Sedan And its as fast as my GS430 maybe a hair quicker but it can't beat IS350.. I owned '04, '06' coupes and '08 G35S sedan and i can tell you though the G handles better but it not quite as quicker as the IS350.. Fact.. let me find some articles and post them up here when i find it.. ok?

I have a 350 and my girl has a G37s. I prefer my Lexus as far as comfort and all around style (though I have wheels and body kit). For out of the box look, the G37s looks great with the 19" wheels, etc. Though be prepared to not have any fog lights and also have hard leather seats and horrible dash/radio/nav design and layout. In fact, the way the stereo's crappy little buttons are placed makes it awkward to use. For power, they are similar but the G has a little bit more pull when I race my lady and I have the F-Sport Intake and her crap is bone stock. The G definitely sounds AMAZING right out of the box but I find it hard to get as many upgrades for it like you can the IS350.. Sewell has a million Lexus upgrades to for cheap and you can't find that with the G.
In the end, the IS is a lot more comfortable and has more options and the Infinity sounds great and has a clean two door look. No way in ****ck though I would buy an Infinity over an Lexus, Nissan blows

if given the choice between an is350 and a similarly-equipped G37 coupe, i'd take a really long look at both. right off the dealer lot, they're both great cars.
but of course, we all know that things never stay the same (read: stock) after leaving the dealer lot...
having said that, you can find a lot more upgrades for the G (many, many times more), given that the VQ-series engine is used across multiple model lines. as such, they're very mod-friendly and well-supported by the aftermarket industry unlike the 2is. (don't get caught up in the f-sport/sewell hype.)
oh, and the possibilities for wheel fitment for the G37 coupe make fitment for 2is look really... well, weak.
at the end of the day, be realistic about your purchase and subsequent ownership experience when evaluating both cars. asking about the 2is versus a non-2is in here will get you some of the same, tired (and sometimes fanboy-ish) answers.
best of luck.
