Swaybar help...Endlink nut size
Hello CL'ers,
Yesterday I was looking at my rear tire to see if I ran over a nail and I was surprised to see my sway bar was disconnected from my endlink on the driver's side. For whatever reason it looks like the nut for my endlink was missing. I went to Home Depot/Lowes to see if I could find a nut, I was somewhat successful. I knew the socket I used placing it on was a 17mm. But what I found at Home Depot/Lowes was a M12 1.25. Can someone confirm that that nut will work? It will screw in to where I can feel it coming out the other end of the nut but I'm having some resistance after that. I just don't know if it's because alittle rust on the endlink bolt. I didn't want to force it and strip the thread on the bolt so I'm here asking. If I'm way off what is the correct size of nut that I need and where might I get one?
Thanks...marty

Best option is to either try some out, or take the nut off the other one and bring it to Home Depot to get the same size.
Also, a tip: get a self-locking nut so it doesn't come off again. I had the same experience as you - I came out one day and noticed the sway bar wasn't attached at one end to the endlink. I got a self-locking nut, put it on and haven't had problems since.
