Alrite guys I'm getting no response in the suspension and brakes section so I figured why not post it here.

anyway this problem came up right when i hit 40k, parked at home inside the garage put it to park and the car shifts forward a little bit(the ground is a bit slanted) and i hear this CLICK noise, felt it too on the shift ****, this never happen before, any insights? Also never heard the clicking noise when I'm on the road or anything.
I tested this out to see if this was a one time thing so I kept putting it into neutral and back into park and CLICK. I don't think I need new pads because braking is fine.

I have the same problem and through what i can find from my research its pretty normal and I just learn to live with it.

I could be wrong, but I think this is common in any vehicle. I don't know the technical term for it, but it's the lock that is engaged inside the transmission so the wheels don't move while in park..

I take it you aren't using your parking brake? If not, you probably ought to get into the habit of doing so, especially when parking on a hill.

I suspect you are just rolling a small amount as the park pawl in the transmission engages.

The incline is barely noticeable in my garage, and this had never happen before. True the car shifts up a little but I dont think the wheel was rolling though.
Do I hit the parking braking while my foot is on the brakes?

thanks for the insight, just wondering why it is happening now, or maybe there is something loose in the brakes?

Bet if you set the parking brakes before going into Park it'll not happen.

Sounds something normal. Depending on the incline, the car may shift a little then you hear the click as it's hitting the lock.

The reason why the car would move is because you were most likely on the brake when you put the parking brake and put it into P. The moment you let go, there was probalby some freeplay and the car rolled freely since you were off the brake and into the lock of the parking brake or sometime - seems normal.

Its the parking paw engaging. This is normal for most cars on parking on inclines. However, on flat surfaces, it may mean that there are some parking paw clearance issues or wear inside the transmission.
