MGP Caliper covers - Have you tried them?

$200 + extra to customize?? NO WAY.
Just sand ant paint the calipers black. But if you do go with these covers probably cheapest way would be $200+$20 for MGP logo removed and then just order lexus caliper stickers from ebay. Extra $70 for engraved plane word "lexus" is nuts.

I know on the 350's there's no room for them on the front due to how close the wheels are to the brake calipers specially with a +40 offset custom wheel. I just painted mine with the G2 caliper paint and really liked there product, very durable and also added the lexus decals to match the color of my car. True, its your choice, its your car, and you do what ever you want!

I went trough this. Did up my is350 front calipers in G2 gloss black with EBC slotted rotors with white Lexus brake decals.
Since the rears don't have a face to letter the calipers I decided to try out an idea. I ordered up gloss black MGP blanks. Then applied the same caliper decal. Since everything is black on the rear brakes, it blends pretty well. Does not look lame IMO. They (MGP) agree made very well ( welded tabs and they use stainless sping steel ) on the clips. The clips can not come loose. For me it completes the brakes so the rear and front calipers look the same.

I've painted calipers on previous cars. After a while they can look ratty. Sometimes you want something nicer looking than the factory non sexy brake caliper. They can be great in function, but not easy on the eyes. Sometimes you don't need or want to spend the money on a Brembo or Wilwood caliper, but just dress up your car just like people do. The devil is in the detail. You have a detailed out ride so why not just finish off the look? Everyone does what they like to their ride that's why its a hobby and awesome to see so many different takes on a specific model...
I personally prefer the subtle approach (no faux hex nuts, mfg logo, and colors that blend with the car). Beauty is in the eye of the beholder who owns the ride.
