tire recommendation
I've already been through 2 sets of tires in 50K miles with the 2012 IS 350 CPO. Originally it had the OEM bridgestone tires on it, and I got the Michellin Super Sport at 75K miles. Now again at 96K miles they are done. Anyone here have recommendations of tires that will be comfortable, last longer, and not break the budget? Has anyone tried ordering from an online store? Please share your experience or recommendations.
Thanks in advance.

I came upon the firestone indy 500 which are a little more expensive than these but seem to have very good reviews online and on these forums. I can get them installed at Firestone for $638 - $100 = $538 rebate if I apply and use their credit card. Seems like a pretty good deal considering I dropped $860 at Costcos for the super sports. How would the Indy 500 compare to the HTR A/S? Probably less performance but more life?

Plenty of people have the indy500 and love them. Super sticky and good tread life. Also look into upgrading your front bushings and get her aligned. I think Sumitomo is the parent company of some well known tire manufacturers.

The alignment was in spec but the tech mentioned something about the bushings. Does that really help with even wear on the tire? Where do you recommend I get them upgraded from and what type/manufacturer?

When I got home and checked the tire pressure it seems the tech adjusted to 42 front and 38 rear whereas the OEM specs are 35 front and 38 rear. Do other Indy 500 owners here keep the fronts at 42 or 35? It seems odd to set the fronts that high.

Air the tires according to the car specs. Figgs engineering and rr racing each make bushings that are preset in a housing which helps the installation. You will sacrifice some cushyness of the oem ride though. ( just from what I’ve read) you could also install isf, rcf, bushings as well.

I used ISF front lower bushings and they did improve the front tire wear! ride quality is still OE like.

I think it depends how long youre keeping the car. Can't go wrong with Michelins
I have a 2010 Lexus is350 and I've had pilot sport as3 then pilot supersports and they're the only tire I've ever had on the car. Best tires I've ever ran. The tread life is outstanding and they have great grip right to the end even with minimal tread they perform the same. Can't say enough good things about them. A buddy of mine had some continental summers and barely got 10k out of them. Do you save any money if you have to buy 3 cheap sets instead of one set of Michelin's? I think not
