Default Got my D2's thanks Joe Z

hey guys after seeing Joe Z post on the D2's I had to have them. I've been searching for coils for a while but I had D2 on my old WRX and the ride was good. But the only reason why I haven't bought them was because I've never seen anyone on board with them. Most people have megans but there on backorder so I got the D2's

I paid $890 shipped for them and D2 didnt have them in stock in the US so it shipped for the manufacture in taiwan. Only took 5 days to shipped to my house.

The packaging was very good and everything looks good, I will install them this weekend and give an update.

I like them but there's something about how the rears are designed that I don't like, if you compare the Tanabe's to the OEMs they're close in design.

D2 owes JoeZ a sponsorship, if they haven't given him one already. He's already moving product!

Glad you choose D2 racing as your choice of coilover. I'm assuming that you paid the extra cost to expedite shipping the coilover from taiwan to you in the states right? That price seems right for retail sales. But I'd rather get them for cost.

I doubt that they'll give him a sponsorship since they already sponsor the E46 M3 and a few others. Plus, they have a few certain group of people who does full time testing on their products such as me.

To the OP:

Glad to hear you got the D2 RS Coilover system.

Not too many 2IS's rolling on these, so it sould be interesting to get some more feedback from different members...

The vender I bought the coils from said the coils were in stock in the US but comes out that d2 didnt have any so they had to order from taiwan but then price would be the same if they were in the states. But on the invoice from Fedex the shipping from taiwan to the states was $100

I think he's just comparing the aesthetics of the strut itself. Mainly, how the spring seats at the bottom on the Factory/tanabe's and the spring seats like the fronts do on the D2 Coilovers. Also that the shockbody is pretty much backward. I'm sure it's just a different design..nothing detrimental to the operation of the coilover.
