ok. ur prob the man to ask...
I got a '99 GS4.. (See the beautiful Sig. Pic made by the one and only GlobeCLK)
I have the Nakamichi setup thats stock right now. I want to install a PS2 bc it plays DVD's--and I want to play PS2 games of course.. but.. i also want the kenwood Navigation touch-screen too. Stubborn? Yes. Determined? Yes. Do I need some advice? YES!!!
What do you/anyone think is the best way to go about this? I'm thinking about installing the PS2 in the rear console?????

Re: ok. ur prob the man to ask...
There are several options you can take. You can get a kit and fit a KVT-911DVD or KVT-M700 into the dash. Both these units off 2 audio/video inputs to display whatever video/audio source you please.
I'm not a expert on the GS400, but recently we did a installation on a Lexus LX470 with a 8" widescreen in dash with touchscreen to replace the factory stereo. Instead of the factory Nakamichi you get a real clean setup of a touch screen. To play cds he wanted a cd changer, you can opt for a dvd/mp3 changer if you wish. Going with this setup he had a huge 8" widescreen for the navigation feature. The screen he used is the LZ-800W.
If you have more questions feel free to ask.
Thanks,
Ted

hmm..
Well.. the Nak system already includes a CD Changer in the glovebox.. so as for CD's--im set.
Now the KVT-M700 is a touchscreen kenwood.. right? so.. if i wanted to play DVD's----i could just use my PS2 (bc i want a PS2!!!) to play them through that screen correct? Then... if I understand this all correctly.. if I wanted to add Navigation... id need to buy the KNA-DV2100 ....and the KVT-M700 would display the navigation stuff that the KNA-DV2100 would feed it--and this would be touchscreen right?
So--the PS2 and the Nav unit would be my two sources--and the M700 would just act as my Touch-Screen correct???
Thanks for puttin' up with me guys!

If you guys want, I can get some better prices than that through my friend!!!!! Let me know if you guys need anything---Kenwood, Pioneer, Panasonic, etc....
When it comes to Mobile Video/Audio, I always liked the Pioneer---that is the setup I have in my car. PM me or e-mail me at ap0718@clublexus.com

Re: hmm..
You are right! Actually the Navigation will not act as a source, this means you will still be able to add another audio/video input. The Navigation if I remember correctly uses a different input, a rgb cable I believe.
