Here are my suggestions:

1. Become friends with one of the techs and pay them cash on the side....

2. Do you own or lease your car?

3. Can you change the oil using the DIY thread on here? Most of the work on the 30k you can do yourself if you are up for it?

4. I do not see why a Toyota dealer couldn't perform the service. I would call to see how much they want compared to the Lexus dealer.

If it where me I wouldn't do the service. I don't keep my cars long enough and I can not rotate the tires on my car. I can change my own air filter and Oil...You need to do what you feel is right. I worked at the dealer here locally and its a waste of $$ if you ask me.

2k to Uncle Sam....yikes! You need to claim zero or start withholding more from you paychecks. I am sure you will be fine taking your car to Toyota, but make sure you receive all documentation of your service just in case you need to go to Lexus for something major down the road.

lol i called the local toyota dealership and asked how much 15k service and it was twice as much as LEXUS!! they are even owned by the same company. I guess they did this to discourage me from going to them.
