What color for my Black IS350 brake calipers?
ClubLexus, help me decide on what color to paint my brake calipers. I have the caliper decal handy in WHITE COLOR. My car is black fyi. Here are some reference pics:
I consider Red or Black initially and still debating on which color to go. Also, don't forget to vote and give some advice/comments/opinion/whatever you want to say
or maybe someone can do a photoshop of each color

dude..STOP MODDING YOUR CAR....LOL
are you gonna do it yourself?? if so, can I join??
I voted for RED..
GOLD only looks good on White or Red cars IMO
Black on Black is fine too..do it if you wanna be a STEALTH mode
Red on Black is just sexy!! people will definitely notice it!!!
BTW...it will also depend on what kind of rim you get in near future..hehe

I voted black becasue Passnu22 and I painted his calipers black with the Duplicolor kit and it looks very nice and glossy. We then added the white Lexus log stickers for a nice touch. From my expereience, if you paint the calipers a light color like red, it will show all the brake dust/road debris quicker. I would also only use a paint on ceramic based agent.
P.S. Your car looks nice and clean.

I voted black because I like the stealth look. Honestly, I think the rear calipers are so small they'd look funny if they were painted red, but I haven't seen it in person.
I did black with gray stickers and it looks great.
One thing to note, on my IS300 I painted the calipes silver. The issue was cleanliness....they were super hard to get clean due without taking the wheel off....like mentioned above, you don't have this issue if they are painted black.

IMO, since you have silver wheels and white decals, I would go with black or gunmetal calipers, unless you want to go with a set of different color rims in the future.
I'm having my mechanic paint my calipers today while installing my coilovers, I have a crystal white IS350 with black wheels so I asked him to paint my calipers silver with black decals (still on order), not going to be too flashy but you can see a good contrast between the calipers and the wheels. I'm not a big fan of red, yellow, or blue calipers anymore (unless it's a real BBK), I used to paint them red for my previous cars but I got tired of them for being standing out way too much on my car. I'm going for a more high end look.
I recommend you to take off your calipers and "spray paint" them, I had experience with "brush-on" ones but they don't come out that nice. Also get a bottle of engine enamel clear coat other than the color paint, it'll give you a solid shinny look! I'll post some pictures once I get my car back.
