hehe its funny how lotta ppl think that for 1/4mi standard/shift yourself is the way to go... they couldnt be farther from the truth. Standard/shift yourself is for SCCA/canyons/fun times and not for drags, you cant beat a computer for the correct shift points, and with ect on, even better.

Hey let the computer do all the shifting you won't go wrong with that. Your 60' are terrible. My best 60 was like 1.9XX. Also make sure you don't turn off your VDIM it kills your time. Well at least it killed mine. I spung half way down the track. I've got constant 13.5XX at the track so far even at 85 degress outside. Remove spare tire and set your tire pressure for 28 rear and 40 front. Gas tank at 1/4 or less. I think that it hope this helps.

2.6s and you can nearly join my best 2.694 (and at high altitude mind you) with my RX300. Less than 1/4 tank, remove spare and any other loose items, it does wonder with that much less weight being 'thrown around'. In addition, let your vehicle cool with the hood open, engine dipsticks and oil cap off for at least 30 minutes. In addition, get a spray bottle do you can spray down the radiator.

Man you should have told me you were going to the track. For one Capitol Raceway sucks! Go to MIR for your runs. I've gone to capitol a few times when I first started with the IS350 and it was just too frustrating waiting in those long lines and constant delays. I was lucky to get 2 runs in the whole night.
Like everyone is saying, let the car do the shifting and reduce the fuel in the tank. If it makes you feel better..the times I have been there on nice sunny 70 degree days with low humidity the modded G35 and 350Z boys were running identical times as you with better 60' times. Don't sweat it this time. I'm sure your car isn't slow, just give it another try at MIR and listen to everyone's suggestions.

I got there around 6 and able to make 4 runs until about 10. the 14 flat run is when i used the brake torque method and if my reaction time was a little better, i'd probably be in high 13's.

I just got my 350, so I am going to wait to take it to the track, but shouldnt a stock 350 hit ~13.9? He hit 14.024 on the 2nd slip, thats not too far off. And he hit a 2.171 60', right at where someone was saying a good 60' is ~2.2. How fast have people gotten with a stock 350?
