Default Rear Defrost/Defogger - A bit weak

Overnight temperatures dropped down to the low 30's last night, so I decided to warm up the car for a few minutes to get the frost/fog off the front and back windows and side mirrors.

Although the front window defroster worked fine and the side mirrors started clearing almost immediately, the rear window remained almost completely fogged-up, except for an outline directly on top of the grid lines.

I've owned a number of cars with rear defrost, and this one seems completely inadequate. Anyone else in colder climates have a similar experience?

I've noticed that as well... my rear windshield almost always fogs up no matter what the temperature. The top strip does not defog because it's the integrated antenna.

I guess "you're" kidding...living in CA, I bet you've never needed to use "your" rear defroster. Try covering up your rear window with black plastic and see how comfortable you are changing lanes on a busy highway.

Sorry, I expect more from Lexus than you do.

I just love some of the comments that get posted...in any group, there is a bell curve. LOL

Weird...

I live in houston so the temperature usually stays above 50 degrees the entire year however it was 80 degress last night but 100% humidity and for some reason fogged up all the car windows and such and it took 5 minutes for the front to defrost and more than 5 for the back to defrost!! What is this?!

I dunno what you guys are talkin about man it went down to -2 here in Edmonton tonight, and I had my defrost running for maybe 5 mins, and the frost cleared up completely on the whole back window.

Mine is strong, my car for some reason loves to attract moister in the back so I use it regularly. Five minutes or less it's already clear...
