my dealer called last saturday to tell me my car would be 'in america' on the 14th. I am on the east coast so can anyone with experience in this area tell me when I can expect it to arrive at the dealer? dont know where the port is or what has to be done at the port but the dealer is about 95 miles from boston and roughly 140 from nyc. dont know where the lexus incoming ports are for the east but they said it could be as many as 10 days before it gets to them.

Hee Hee...
My SGM 250 AWD supposedly arrived in KC on Feb 28th and I was scheduled to pick up at the dealership on March 1st. (This is after shipping it to Chicago by mistake). I have paid for the car and filled out all of the paperwork. It is now March 8th, and from the GM to the salesman to a technician sent to the railyard, they cannot find the car. They have sent an employee in hipwaders to Union Station to walk from railcar to railcar and try to physically unearth the vehicle. They say they've never encountered this before, but have literally "lost" a car. I am in limbo, and am still driving my GX 470, which they technically own and has their dealer plate on it, but I have changed insurance to the new car which apparently doesn't exist...

My Understanding
Was that all Toyota/Lexus vehicles come into west coast ports (LA/Long Beach/Seattle), and are rail transported in enclosed railcars across the country.

I have no idea but i would lie o know where it comes in. If they told me 7-10days thats crazy from long beach im only 20 min drive. And the dealer is even closer to there then i am. Now 7-10days across the US i understand.
As far as digtial goes for his lost car. This sounds like a good opertunity. I mean if the cars lost right now, it sounds like if i find it first its mine and it will go missing for ever. Hmmmm. What color was this?

The northeast region, including Massachusetts (for the OP), has a port in New Jersey. My car arrived at the dealer only 3 days after getting to the port. It usually takes 5-7 days.
