things you wish Lexus had done differently on the 06 IS....or 2007 wish list.
#1 on my list...Lexus should have kept HID as standard equipment.
#2 LED tail lights...some say they are, some say they aren't....if they are, make them more distinctly LED.

they are not led...i dunno what the ppl are thinking...but you'll know for sure if they are. ie. g35 coupe, honda accords, blah blah.
mine would be
350 in stick
more room in the back...even though lexus said they made it bigger

wheel options for the awd is250's. 3 different options for those with rwd 250/350's but none for awd. i dont mind the 17" wheels that came with the awd but thought it wouldve been nice to at least have a choice ? And most definatly HID's standard shouldve been a MUST for this car.

If you read the tail lamp discussion you'll read that I have proof that they are. The official Lexus specs sheet lists them as LEDs. I didn't believe it either, but there it is:

Read the second link on that page (PDF) and see that they are LEDs!!

IS350 AWD stick. It could even be detuned to say 280hp, but give me all wheel traction and the ability to row on my own with no wuss-paddles.

1. Make IS350 available with BOTH manual transmission and AWD (on the same car)
2. Folding rear seat
3. Lighted gas cap and trunk release buttons.
4. Get rid of the overly restrictive nannies that prevent operation of the phone, radio and navi while the car is under way. (Look at Acura for a compromise that makes both the customers and the lawyers happy)
5. Sharkfin antenna for satellite radio
6. Make HVAC ventilate/recirculate/auto setting persist after turning off car
And not really a change to the car, but I'd recommend that they send an equitable distribution of options to dealers all over the country. Their current procedures, where you can buy a ML equipped car in the midwest but not in the northeast is not very customer friendly.

They are listed on the UK IS, on the web site. I doubt they changed the taillights for the UK model and the US model. THey probably try to stick with changing only what they have to change (steering wheel, side marker light).
The RX is the same way. There was a whole discussion of this on the taillamp thread. Check it out.
But, I called the parts department of the local Lexus dealership and they looked it up - they are regular bulbs. Lexus put LEDs in the new IS for godsakes!

Definately fold down seats.
An off button for VDIM.
Coupe/hardtop-convertible.
Manual tranny.
Quiet tires (they're quite loud for Lexus).
Better bluetooth connection/transfer.
Options found in the UK available in the US (See European website).
Better car alarm.
Park Assist in front bumper (not just in corners).
