I was reading on another forum that the sport package comes with a center console in brushed aluminum or it's the metallic painted plastic like all the non wood models have?

It comes with the metallic painted plastic product that all the non-luxury packaged cars have. It is not real aluminum.

it will be killer for a company to make aftermarket kits for that center console in real brushed aluminum!

That will look real nice with black interiors!

Yeah, everyone tricked me! I thought the center console was aluminum, not the same one that I have.

I agree, I usually prefer brushed aluminum over wood, but in this case, the wood looks far better.

Says you. They could put tinfoil in there and I'd still prefer it over wood... (did I mention I hate wood in cars? Weird, because I love it most other places).

It is a great look, especially with the black interior. I prefer it over the wood.

I agree though to an extent though—the wood in lexus is wierd—but I do like the dark grey wood in the GS.

The artificial annodized aluminum is better than wood in the IS... but it is artificial, and looks it.
