Default Special Order for next year

Hey guys, glad I found this forum very insightful. As the id suggest I dont own an IS YET, but my questions is this, say the next years models come out and dealership start to liquidate this years model and start to do price within invoice. If I want specific options which they dont have on the lot and no local dealerships have them either would I still be able to put in an order for one and still get the same deal as if the car was on the lot i.e. 500 over inovice. Reason I ask I went to the dealership and the internet manager said right now best they can do is 1000 of msrp but he said there will be a time when he'll be able to do 500 over invoice and I can wait. Thanks

Let me get this straight. You're saying when the '07's are out, you want to special order an '06? You want Lexus to stop '07 production and build you an '06?!?

fair enough, thats all I needed, and yes missing out on a year will be an issue however will see as to much more 07 has to offer, I should've stated that I would like to save money on the purchase but if options aren't available then I'll get an 07, as of right now I already own an 05 sti which isn't much of a comparision to this car but I bought it without knowing about this cars release which had I know I would've waited for.

Perhaps you should wait for an 08 or an 09? You see where this is going? There will always be something newer, better, and faster than the car you buy. I dont like sitting on the fence. I say buy one now!
