Default Just picked up an 01

I just picked up a, new to me, 01 IS300 with an automatic trans. It has 134k on the odometer. The car is silver with a black interior. The interior is leather with swede inserts and has carbon fiber trim pieces. Some of the trim is cracked though. The backlighting for the radio and climate control is dim or missing light in some places. The car has a 12" sub and box in the trunk. I'm not sure of make and model yet.

I got it for a pretty good price because of the large dent in the rear Diver-side door fender. The front bumper cover has some stress marks from where larger wheels rubbed against it and the rear bumper cover has a dent in it. It needs a new rear right rotor and an alignment. I guess there is a small problem with the hood release lever as you can't pull it to hard or far or it will get stuck. It's got an exhaust on it. I think it's just a megan racing y pipe and cat back.

One thing that is kind of annoying is that the passenger side headlight will randomly quit working. If I flip the lights off and on again, it will turn on once more. Also, the passenger side fog light is out. Is there a special bulb for it, or should i just pick any compatible bulb up from Autozone?

I'll get pictures when it's light out.

Yes I do. That project is going on still. It's progressing very slow right now do to life issues, money and it being winter. The IS300 is purely a daily driver. I've sworn not to mod (well maybe a couple little things) it until the SC is done.

Sorry for the lack of pictures. I've been stupid busy. I did manage to pick up a carbon fiber hood and mesh style grill from another user here.

Yaaay glad to see you finally got it. Look on ebay for HID bulbs for the headlights. $100 per pair is average. Phillips is all you want (OEM). Cheaper ones will blow within a month.

How about fog lights?

Also, I noticed when my pasenger side light goes out. there is a blinking yellow light... idk why it blinks.

Secondly, What is the warning light in the cluster mean. The one that looks like light out of the back of the car? It turns on when I hit the brake and stays on.

Thats what it's supposed to be for... I would say you probably have a brake light out.

Well, I know I need lights... Fog/High/Low. I've got one of each out.
Also I'm going to need pads and rotors. I think that's about it. Probably sometime in the future I may get a new front/rear bumper. Does the shop you work at do autobody?
