hey everyone...its almost time for a new clutch for me...just wondering if ne one with a manual has had their stock clutch replaced and can give me just a rough estimate of how much everything with labor and everything will cost...i called lexus and just for the parts is around $500...thanks

oh oh i forgot to mention that i had called my lexus dealership and asked for a quote for installation and parts and everything and they said it would be around $1,500....!!!!...is this right...a 1000 dollars in labor?!?!

$1000 may seem high when you first look at it, but when you break it down its not. assuming your dealership's rate is $100/hr, 10.0 hours of labor gets you to $1k before taxes. the tech needs to pull your transmission, pull the old clutch off, resurface the flywheel, and reinstall everything.
anytime you pay someone to pull out your transmission it wont be cheap.
$500 for a factory clutch/pressure plate sounds about right as well.
