i think it's faster. it's not the same engine, the gs300 has a higher hp v6, and it has 6 speed.

Auto GS 300 should beat auto IS 300
Manual IS 300 will be more even with an auto GS 300
GS 300 0-60 in 6.8-7.2.
IS 300 manual 6.9, auto like 7.4

manual is300 6.9? that's slow, i have read seveal cases people doing los 6

is300 (auto) considered as a fast car? honestly, that's new to me.... from day one i didn't think the is300 was a far car already (don't get mad, i was an owner too)

who cares for numbers... its what you like... however all you have to do is mod your car and you wont have any problems. Oh and get a valve body upgrade if you have an auto.. well worth it

and as for 0-60 times. They are high because the IS shifts like right before 60 and with a .3ish (I think/ very close) second shift time for the stock tranny you lose (or in this case increase) a boatload of time.

So I guess if I havent mentioned this... if you have an auto buy a valve body upgrade and your numbers will greatly improve in the qt mile and 0-60

btw gs300 have nothing on the IS

I am thinking about flywheel upgrade but i heared it will make alot of noise.

i was just shocked that huge luxry car runs as fast as is300 yet more fuel efficient and luxry. we are owned by technology

oh there is plenty of information on it on the my.is forum. You can purchase a valve body upgrade for around $200 however you must also buy a tranny cooler. It isnt the cheapest install but what is? Anyways here is all of the info you will need http://my.is/store/customer/product....2&cat=9&page=1 This is a great write up.
