Okay, here's my first new post - and I know this isn't exactly a "burning issue," but...
Anybody know why Lexus cars drop so much A/C condensation? My IS300 (and our '93 ES300 before it) pools a pretty good-sized puddle at the end of the day. Admittedly, I run the Auto A/C pretty much all the time, but so does my wife in her Mercedes ML320 and her A/C puts only a few "drops" on the garage floor. My IS makes a small lake. Just curious why?

The more humidity the more water. I have never seen a mbz evaporator but it must be designed different, or just the drainage in the evap box. I feel the more water the better. The more water that leaves the box the lesser likelihood of mold or mildew to build up. Just my .02

More water isn't something bad. It is just from the condensation coming off the the cold condesor (I think that is the name of the part I am thinking of). Anyway - no problem with a lot of water.
Our LS400 with dual zone climate control spills two rivers when sitting in place for a while. The refregerant just cools the lines and condensation occurs, perfectly natural and A-OK.
