My Sway Bar Bushes Chewed themselves to bits

^ Now this sounds like a good reason why they'd shred themselves to bits. It is possible that the grease dried out and so created friction which would lead to a tare like this.

We have never seen this issue before. My concern would be that the grease you used appears to be for metal bearings or metal bushings. Some of the additives in that product may have caused the polyurethane to breakdown. Specifically the Calcium Sulfinate ingredient. This is common in many greases but Calcinate overbased calcium sulfonates are used for acid scavenging and EP/AW performance in many industrial and metalworking lubricants. These products are composed of a natural/synthetic blend of calcium sulfonate detergent in oil and are great at cleaning metal surfaces and deposit control. The problem is there are multiple grades with different characteristics. Major differences between grades are the composition of material, the size of the dispersed calcium carbonate particles, the physical form, and the amount of calcium hydroxide. I can't tell more specifics about this particular grease but I would guess that could have aided in the premature failure of the bushings.
How long have these bushings been on the car?
Email sales@sikky.com and reference this thread. thanks Sikky.

Hi and thanks for your feedback.
Yes I do believe now that it is down to the grease I used, I read in detail what the grease contained and as you rightly stated they're more for bearings or metal bushes.
I also noticed that the bushes seem to have been eaten up, like an acid which points me towards the type of grease I used.
I've had the Sikky ARB and bushes on since December 2013. So it's been a while.
I've also just placed an order with you guys for the replacement bushes with grease so thanks for the help problem should be solved hopefully

I used some leftover energy suspension bushing grease. I just installed front and rear sikky's and I gotta say, so far it has been a way better ride. I'm gonna tighten em up today and go tear up some stuff. As far as your problem with bushings being shreaded, I've never encountered that before and since the sway bars are about 5-10 minutes to get off the car or just loosen the mounting cups to take the bushings off and clean then regrease is my plan atleast every few oil changes.
