Question Sway Bar

i hear squeaky noise from rear (driver) suspension when i go on bumps but recently i started hearing it more and more even on irregular roads. Took it to LX dealer and he says the sway bar is bent ( i don't believe so, never had a crash) and possible touching the Frame...estimated about $400 to fix it.

how serious is this issue, i know sway bar is related to stability of the vehicle...should i get it fixed right away.. or is it normal to make that noise.

Try tighten end links and bolts holding bushing brackets. If the sway bar is indeed bent, not loosened bolts, go to a junk jard to buy an used one. Sway bar should not be bent, especially rear one which is solid.

The sway bar ends are attached to the struts. Might be an idea to have the rear left strut checked. Does the RX drivers side lean to the left slightly when on a level concrete pad?
Give it a look when you next get fuel.

AN update on this issue,

Tammy was right the issue was with the strut.

took it to LX dealer (not the one i took last time) last week and they checked the rear strut, seems the strut had gone bad and they replaced it (for $350, luckily covered by warranty). They also said that the sway bar was not bent.

rides normal now ..
thanks
