Sorry, but your definition of fast is different. A "couple seconds" is FAST...when you are talking about adding just a real LSD and couple adjustments to the suspension with the same car on the same track.

But just to add, I never said the ISF was not fast. Sure, it can be faster...by adding a real LSD it is obviously better than the 08-09 ISF. Just because those cars you listed use E-LSD and are still extremely fast, doesn't mean that holds true for all other cars that have E-LSD.

I never stated the ISF's E-LSD was fast.. I was stating it can be fast and people bagging on why the ISF came with E-LSD are overlooking the fact that Lexus was probably trying out something new and obviously technologically sound when it came to LSD potential.

The 08-09 has an open differential that uses the brakes to control what power goes to what wheel.
It's garbage.

The 458, P1 and the C7 actually have a limited slip diff that has clutches and they can control electronically how much each clutch is engaged. Nothing similar at all to the 08,09 ISF

http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...ff-versus.html

After having RWD V8 cars with clutch type LSD, and going to the IS-F...it just felt weird and unnatural. After I put the 2010 Torsen diff in it, it was great. Can't imagine how it would feel with the OS Gikken.

To the original poster, if you want to know if your car has a limited slip diff...try doing doughnuts in it with the traction control totally off. What will probably happen is it will feel like the car is turning in a circle while smoking the inside wheel and once in a while it will "Shimmy" and you will feel the car try to pull around a bit. A true limited slip will spin you around very quickly.

As much as everyone complains about the eLSD, I dare you to turn it off with the pedal dance and still say it's useless. AMHIK.
