Default does your F sometimes feels slower @ WOT? sometimes fast?

i noticed this on my car,i don't always drive it upto redline, but i noticed sometimes my car will pull really hard.....after a while,it would'nt pull as hard (like 30 min. ago)...i never thought of heat soak because i was not stuck in traffic everytime it happened....

The "pull" of your car at WOT is going to be affected by atmospheric conditions, but mechanically it should be performing the same for you each time. I've notice certain conditions where my car seems to pull a bit harder than others (dry, cold days seem to be the best), but it is not like it doesn't still give me that oomph of acceleration when I drop the hammer even on hot and humid days.

There is also the button beneath the pedal (I forget the appropriate name). If you don't press the pedal firm enough it may feel as if you have it to the floor but you may not have this switch engaged.

Also depends on where you are in the rev range when you drop the hammer

what also makes a difference is your surroundings. sometimes you'll find yourself on an empty freeway and gun it and it won't "feel" as fast bc there isn't much point of reference. and other times you'll be in heavier traffic and it'll feel surprisingly quick. you also get used to your car and after you've been driving it kind of hard all day, it naturally won't feel as fast.

It's the way you drive... Your ECU Learns your driving style. unless your WOT or really pressing on it every time you're at a stop or slowing down its not going to give you the same "umph". F is a quick learner..... Just drive it in sport mode you'll have the same feel all day.

Also, for me I found MAF was very dirty and needed new spark plugs after I serviced both of those the inconsistency went away, and actually never realized a had a problem until I replaced and serviced. My car is much more responsive regardless of heat soak (and I live in texas considering very hot days), my on throttle response previous was almost as if the car was hesitating, gargling somewhat. hope that helps.

IAT's, ECT's, atmospheric conditions, road incline/decline, traction, etc. All of these will affect how fast your car feels and is.

Absolutely true.

Also after a road trip in my wife's RX350, getting back into my F feels like being strapped to a Falcon 9 rocket.

Coming from a BRZ, the first time at WOT in regular mode scared the crap out of me.
