Default Rear Shock Replaced Under Warranty

Gents - Longo Lexus just finished replacing my rear left shock as it was leaking and causing a "thumping" sound going over larger bumps/speed bumps. I requested that they replace the other side for balance since she's got around 42k miles. They refused since it's not leaking.

Any of you been successful in getting them to replace both sides if you had one leaking under warranty?

Sounds about right.
I also had a leaking rear shock on a GS300 replaced under extended warranty. They only replaced one side.

I recall seeing a Lexus document being very specific regarding what degree of leaking qualifies as warranty replacement. If the dealership replaces a non leaking shock under warranty, they will have trouble getting reimbursed by Lexus corporate.

I just got my RR shock replaced for the infamous clunking noise going over bumps. BUT get this:
I bought my ISF from sterling McCall lexus in Houston last Monday. I bought the platinum warranty($3k). Drove it to work on Tuesday. On Wednesday I took it into Sewell here in fort worth for the shock. Sewell says it was a pre-exisiting condition and that Sterling McCall should have corrected that before they sold it to me!! WTF???? it wasn't clunking on when I test drove it in Houston. The warranty was supposed to be in effect from the time I drove it off the lot. SOOoo Sewell called Sterling McCall and the selling dealer decided to pay for it. MY good friend is a master tech at Sewell and he worked on my car. He text me and told me my car was ready. I called Sewell and asked him if I could have my car back, but they wouldn't release it until sterling McCall paid them!! I ended up shelling out $479.28 to get my F back for the weekend and I just got my reimbursement check from sterling Mccall this morning. What a mess.
BTW my friend at Sewell said they wont replace the other shock unless its leaking.

I would never, under any circumstances, replace just one shock, or one tire for that matter. Awhile ago, I had a blowout on my front right tire. The left tire was still pretty good, but my and your ISF is a performance vehicle and should be treated like one. I replaced both front tires. I still have the other one sitting in my garage, though I know not why.

With that being said, I pulled this off the net.

I wonder if replacing my rear left shock will help the slight uneven feeling I am feeling under hard turns left vs right. Most likely. If its $500 I'd do it. I want my car as balanced as possible for my track use. Need to reduce the weight transfer to reduce the oversteer on hard right turns
