This weekend was the first cold weekend we have had and I did not get to take the F out, this morning on the ride in to work my low tire presser light came on. I will check the pressers this afternoon when I leave work but but could it be just due to the weather? also how do you reset the light?

What year is your ISF?

It could be just the cold weather and it will go away after a while. Last year the day came on (IS250) and went away around the evening.

This year, my 2008 ISF had its spare tire low on pressure so it could be that too.

Coincidentally, I had the same issue on Sat. Threw a few lbs in the left rear.

What PSI does the light come on in our car, by default? Mine did this also Saturday night and the driver rear was at 28 PSI. I also had it happen once last year when the temps got into the 40s.

If the tire pressure light is on I think the only way to make it go away is to make sure your tires are properly inflated.

No it could not be the spare. The spare does not have a pressure sensor in it for any 2IS.

Correct. It is also important to use the satellite switch and initialize the setting when the pressure is set correctly.

If you search automotive forums, threads like this happen every year in the fall when the temperatures drop 10 - 20 degrees. If you remember your basic gas laws, it's pretty easy to figure out what is going on. Temperature drops, pressure drops. You'll need to add air at this time of year every year.

This is the main reason I bought a compressor for my garage. I can set tire pressures in the morning and because my garage is close to mean ambient temperature for the day (warmer than morning OAT, but cooler than high temp of the day), I am confident I'll be as close as is practical for street driving.

I put a reminder on my phone to check the tires monthly...otherwise they suffer.

Good idea to set a reminder in your phone!

I just use my bicycle pump for a few psi adjustment. It doesn't take much to add 3-5psi into a tire.

Seeing this issue as well with my 2013 that's not driven daily. I usually add air to bring all 4 tires back to 36 psi and the problem goes away. (Stock wheels, stock Michelin PS2's)

Sort of annoying, but oh well.
