New Shoes Today
I finally did something to the car to make it better for me. New wheels. Pics say most of the story, but to make it clear, these are 2014 wheels, painted black, powder coated clear, with Michelin PSS 245/35/19 and 275/30/19. I still can't decide if I want to go all black and put black chrome lugs on it, but for now I like the chrome lugs. I'll paint a set at some point and see how they look (I've got a box of spare lugs - enough for another car). Without further ado, here we are:
No detail too small...
Finally at home...
I wasn't expecting it, but the ride is just a little softer. I did expect it would stick better, and it does without question. Just need a track weekend to see how it really works.
Pics were all taken with my Lumia 1020.

Always did say these were one of the best OEM wheels that came with the IS F. While I like the samurai blade design, that extra 1/2 inch, though slight, gives it a nice look all around. Grip, as expected, would be better with wider tires.

It's only 8.5", so 245 is the ideal fitment. 255 is squeezed at 8.5, and I was already running the 245s on an 8" rim, so I knew what a 255 was going to be without ever mounting it. I have 255s but didn't want to put them on when the 245 is a better fitment.

Picked them up used. They had been powder coated, but the quality was really not there. I had them redone locally by Wheel Wizard. They do a lot of high end wheels, and always have exotics in their garage. I brought them bare wheels, got all new TPMS sensors, painted the stems and nuts myself, got black anodized aluminum valve stem caps, and put it all together before going to my local NTB, who just happen to do a lot of show car work for a shop nearby. They were incredible, and I mean incredible attention to detail, making sure everything was done right - and they wouldn't charge me for the work. I buy tires from them normally, but they couldn't get the 275/30/19 in a PSS, so I bought them from an internet retailer. I'm still marveling they would not charge me for their time. They even reprogrammed the TPMS...
Anybody in ATL - I'll be happy to refer you to them.

2012-2014 OEM wheels definitely look better than the previous models , looks really nice man.Why don"t you go with 285/30r19 on the rear for being closer the stock OD ? and maybe with Porsche yellow color caliper modding.
