The best way to start the F
1. Get in the car, press the Brake pedal then press the Start/stop button and go right away.
2. Get in the car, press the Start/stop 1st time then press it 2nd time and wait for until all the warning light go off and press the Brake pedal then press the Start/stop button and go.
Last week i got my F oil changed at Rockford Lexus dealer and one of the lexus tech told me do the number 2 above for fuel calculated precisely and the F will perform smoother and better.
What do you guys think ?

I don't know if it makes any difference, but I've just fallen in that routine of the latter. Mainly it's because I need the sound system working while I get the kiddos buckled away and they always like hearing that engine start up afterwards.

hmm, could have a point, now sure about it all, but it does raise another slightly off topic question for me:
how precise would you all say your onboard tank avg mpg is?
seems like mine is always optimistically ~1mpg higher than may manual calculation....

Hey guys this is not my idea or my thinking of , i just wonder why the Lexus tech told me to do that .Because i usually jump in the car and start the engine and go right away and i dont see any differences b/w the 2 procedure above. Just want to listen from your ideas and inputs.

sounds like the tech is blowing smoke. It may help in some system calculation but to say it will run smoother is probably not true. Lexus would have designed it that way if that were the case.

agreed, just curious, do you find your 'tank mpg' on the dash to be pretty accurate?
