IS-F Convertible
Lexus IS-F convertible
Price: $65,000 (estimated)
From the rumor files is the long-awaited IS-F convertible. It's said to be coming in 2013, possibly this summer, and the pundits forecast an otherwise unchanged folding hardtop version of the IS-F sedan. That means at least a 5.0-liter 416-horsepower V8 engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The drop-top should inject more excitement into this capable if somewhat sterile sport coupe.
This just posted on MSN is apparently old news from last July. Here's more info if you haven't seen it.

I personally don't think it will be a highly sought after model. I love Lexus and its body lines and class but their convertibles are ugly!!! This is just my opinion and I could wrong. On a positive note its good they are offering more options to buyers. I hope I am wrong.

Ever since MB started calling four door cars coupes. Just plain dumb, but MB marketing has managed to pull it off so now coupe really doesn't mean anything useful.

If Lexus can only sell 500 units right now, I really don't think they'll bother with a convertible. It's not the number of doors or the top that are stopping people from buying these.
I personally have no interest at all in a soft top but I would pay money to catch a ride in one that had the JoeZ exhaust. I bet it would sound even more amazing than just having our windows down.
