I've always wondered what that resistance is when flooring the pedal. And I thought that thing is just a plain pedal stop! Now I have a quick mod to do

That's my question. With a standard or in manual mode, the driver dictates "kickdown" behavior by just selecting a lower gear. In the F, if this switch is the difference between WOT and not, then I'd like to do this modification.

Since lobuxracer has done this and tracks the car, I'm curious about his experiences there, since I assume he's in manual/sport in that environment.

So I went out today to check and see if I had this button behind my gas pedal and its true. There is a little button on the floor. So I took my car out for a drive today since there is no snow on the ground right now and got the feel for this button. I found that it clicks in real easy and I didn't really have to push very hard to engage the power button. All of you may want to check and see if you actually need to do this mod before doing it.

I drive a 2011 ISF, and it does not need the mod, it engages very easily.

The switch impacts WOT. If it is not mashed solidly to the floor (which takes more effort than I deem reasonable in an '08), the car does not accelerate as quickly.

Most performance mods need a watch and timed course to demonstrate actual improvement. Few deliver the advertised claims. Many are actually worse than stock. The best performance mods are made to the driver.

Emotional arguments - They're not just for chicks anymore.
