Exhaust finishers/tips rattle over bumps - any way to quiet them?
The roads in and around LA are getting crappy since the city has no money. I'm noticing that the exhaust finishers on my car are rattling...clanking even...over bumps. I can reproduce this by lightly tapping on the side of the bumper by the rear tires and a hollow metallic sound is produced. Visually it looks like everything is as tight as it can be, but it still rattles.
I made sure most of the little pebbles were out (there was a pile of them on the ground when I was done tapping) but the noise is still there.
Any easy solutions for this? (other than turning the radio up Is there a how-to remove these anywhere?
Thanks!
