Radar Detector Wiring Ease
Hello all. In my last vehicle, I was fortunate enough to have the ability to tap into 12V line for my sunroof. The hot is tied to ignition accessory, so perfect...turn the key and X50 would come to life.
I have yet the time or ambition to pop open the dome assembly and start probing around. I gather much of what's up there is electronically controlled and relayed. Has anyone looked into achieving this? Obviously access to a wiring diagram would have helped, but that didn't seem possible. Thanks

Like i did on my IS350, you should just be able to tap right into the mirror, since it's electric.
I bought a stealthcord for $12, as well as the Mike's Mount (search the forum for this) for my Escort 9500i.
My setup is extremely clean, and works beautifully!

I did the sunroof method and it took me about 45 mins. No need for a stealth cord just some wire and some taps. I think its purple for power and the white wire with black stripe is the ground.
