Would You Put 295's on a 19x10 Wheel?
Without worrying about clearance & offset. Just focusing on the size alone. Would you put Michelin PSS 295/30/19 on a 19x10 wheel? Is 295 too wide for 10" wheel? Will it have any negative impact on performance? This is strictly for street, not track. I am hoping to gain more traction with the wider tire. Any thoughts?

I'm interested in this question as well. From what I've been researching, yes you can put a 295 safely on a 10" rim. But without the proper offset, you will have rubbing issues. Also the question comes up whether there is any real performance benefit given that it isn't the optimum wheel size for a 295...a 10.5" it the optimum rim size.

Supraman16, I have the same wheels as you do. I have to thank you for that. Saw your post years back, and love the Weds. Clearance will not be an issue for me. I just want to see what the consensus are from the knowledgeable ones here. No point going to 295's if no more traction can be had with a 10" wide wheel.

Yes, I have RCF wheels. My post from another thread:
Got 'em mounted and balanced on yesterday. Looks like I have to roll the rear fender. The front wheel (sans tire) come within a hair of the upper control arm (think that's what you call it). I think the pics speak for themselves. Note the tires are S04s (255/35/19 front and 295/30/19 rear)
On another note - I've learned in this thread that wheels seems to be a very personnel thing for our members here. And some folks criticize (myself included) others in inappropriate ways. This of course causes more anger. Not healthy IMHO
