Tein H Tech Springs Didn't Lower Car - Troubleshoot
A month or so ago I bought a used set of Tein H Techs from another forum member. This afternoon I had some free time and installed springs in the front of my car. 2 other local owners have springs.. one on the same Tein H Tech and the other on Swifts. Both options are supposed to lower the car 1"Front and 0.6" Rear.
I noticed that the OEM spring and the Tein Spring looked identical in terms of height, which seemed odd to me as I expected the Tein to be shorter
In the end, the drop in the front seems the exact same as stock ride height. I meant to measure my ride height before getting to work, but I was in a hurry to get going due to time crunch.... the height from floor to fender after install is 26.4" on the passenger side and 26.2" on the driver side.
The other local F owners that I mentioned are at 25.5" ride height, so about 1" lower than me... what gives?
Any ideas on what could be the issue? At this point I'm not even going to bother with the rear springs. If the front doesn't go any lower than this, I'm going to have to buy coilovers.

Yes, one member has the exact same wheel & tire setup as me...LC818 19x10 all around with 255/35 and 265/35... and measures 25.5" in the front from ground to fender
Here is his car (White). Blue car has Swifts, but smaller tires.

Alright... so it turns out that we weren't exactly comparing apples to apples here.
I met up with the owner of the blue ISF pictured above this morning to take some measurements on his car... he measured at 25.75" on driver side and 26.25" on passenger side. I am exactly 1/4" taller than that, but my tires are 1/4" taller so that means we have the same drop effectively.
After talking with the owner of the local white ISF shown above, who has the same springs & same wheel/tire setup, he mentioned that he believes his front shocks are blown..... which means he is probably riding lower due to that, so that clears everything up. I was just expecting more of a drop because of how he sits, but it wasn't a fair comparison.
So... ignore all of this and carry on with your day
