Headers: O2 Catalytic bung Cel fix?
So my o2 sim went bad (throwing P0137 code: low voltage on B1S2, in my case it was reading 0 voltage). I took it out, voltage was back in spec but now have the P0420/P0430 codes. So ours cars like its cats. I started searching for o2 bungs with cats in them thinking it should work, theoretically. I came across these on eBay and think it's worth a shot. Hopefully no one has tried them yet since I already bought the suckers and I hope they work. I got the idea after seeing novel headers with something similar. Not sure if those o2 defoulers trick our o2 sensors, they work very well in hondas for sure, I've had previous experience with them.
But what I have heard works well are the o2 sims and seeing as yours is bad why dont you go back to the seller? What kind of o2 sim is it? Im planning on running an ppe o2 sim as well hopefully they dont go bad on me..I always like mechanical fixes vs electronical ones, just more things to go bad, but a lot of people swear by the ppe o2 sims so I will give them a shot as they were included with my headers..

Update!!!
So after USPS lost my items and delivered an empty package to me, the seller was awesome about getting me another pair of bungs. They have been installed for about 5 days now, and I'm happy to say no check engine light! I know it's a short time but normally my code would be back the same day so it is definitely doing something good. I will continue to monitor and report on a long term effect. But these could be a cheap alternative to the o2 simulator.
