Installed aFe Power air filter - made a how to video
#18
I changed mine from Toms to aFe not too long ago. I washed my Toms yearly just to keep it fresh, but after seven and three-quarter years, the material of the surround was starting to crack and even began falling apart, so while I wasn't able to replace it with another Toms, the aFe looks very sturdy and will probably work just the same. The filter change isn't all that arduous, but it definitely needs to be done properly, or else you might be left with a CEL and some codes to need clearing soon after.

Very nice review of the installation process! Shouldn't take anymore than 10 mins give or take.
Have any of you noticed any slight difference in sound? Gas mileage? Power? In either the Joe z or afe filters? Obviously won't be a huge gain in either, just curious as to what users have noticed.

Thanks!

I surprised my wife with an NX200t for Christmas, the IS-F was the sacrifice. I have too many fun/race cars of my own, wanted her to have something nice instead of driving my 14 year old 4Runner tow vehicle everyday

Hey Justin I really wanted to thank you for taking the time to make this video. I am not handy and never work on my car but you made it seem really simple and your video is well made. Thanks from me and the rest of us who always pay the dealer for everything

Indeed, she is loving it! I have to say, the NX200t is a pretty sweet car for what it is

I had one as a loaner recently and was blown away. Its actually pretty damn torquey, very well designed, and just a great car. Congrats and many happy miles
