Lexus ISF with 97,000 Miles, Worth it??
Hello,
I am new to this forum and I am seeking feedback from current ISF owners. I currently drive a 2012 Lexus IS 250 F Sport/ Ultrasonic Blue. Before this car, I had a 2007 Chrysler 300 C SRT8, thus, the power differential was a shock to me. I understand the IS 250 is a LUXURY car not a muscle car, but the speed it has is just sad. Now moving on, I found a 2008 Lexus ISF with 97k miles for cheap. I was interested in buying it, but I have concerns with 97k. What should I look for ( signs of abuse)? What type of maintenance should I expect after 97k? Will it be worth buying extended warranty?

Mileage is ok for an '08. Ask for a much info on it a possible. With an older MY, I'd look into water pump, extended warranty, and maybe electronics as items of concern.

A service history would be helpful. Since the car no longer has MF warranty, it won't qualify for an exclusive policy, which covers everything except what is specifically excluded in the policy, at a reasonable cost.
They may say you can still buy for one and it's most likely an inclusive policy EW, and it aint worth !@#$ after you read and understand the policy coverage fine prints.

I paid $40k for mine if that helps, 1 owner car w 16500 miles when purchased last month. I think a 2008 w that amount of miles should be $27-29k personally. At the sellers price I would look for 50-60k mileage cars instead.
