Default This is an Amazing Transplant

I've been following this thread in the IS forums. What this guy has done with his IS250 and a Chevy LS1 is truly amazing IMHO. Thought I'd share:

They make a V8 IS250 its called an ISF. lol Nice but lot of work and cost and still doesn't have brakes, suspension, and reliability of the F. Take it from someone who had a "built" car its always something and nothing is as reliable as the factory.

Nice work.

Completely agree. I respect the effort and the craftsmanship, but for the cost of everything, could have gotten an F and then some.

This is awesome. Throw a "maggie" supercharger on and you're set for a looong time.

I'm conflicted. First off, my hats off to the guy for such an insane build, great craftsmanship and doing something I can't even understand, much less do myself. In his garage with jack stands? Sheesh, great work! But then I think of all the cars out there to do an LS swap, and the IS250 wouldn't be on the short list. I'd love an LS swapped FD RX-7. But the IS250 seems like a weird candidate, especially given the existence of the ISF. Sure, his car will be faster than a FBO ISF, but there are so many other, sexier, lighter weight chassis to work with.
