Smile just installed Vais Technology XM tuner in ISF

I had my stereo guy install the Vais Technology xm interface, module and shark fin adapter and went as planned. It took about two hours to do and everything works perfectly. Couldn't be happier.

It really is a nice piece that makes driving in the car more enjoyable. Just be careful to not get too distracted now that you'll be able to access everything while moving.

Edit: I just read up on this one, maybe it doesn't override the OEM lock-outs. At least you'll enjoy the cleaner XM radio though. I have the iPod integration/NAV override adapter so don't know if those are built into this unit.

I installed this setup myself and very pleased with quality OEM like integration. The only thing that confused me is how the previous owner purchases a $70K car and does not install satellite radio.......

@Kramer. I felt the same way. I have a life time subscription to xm so just transferred it over ASAP.. The Vais system really has seamless oem intergration..

I belive out of the 5 vais models for ipod integration, only the ML+ overrides the OEM lockouts while moving. I had the vais SL model initially installed, and wondered why I couldn't see song detail while moving or why I wasn't able to use the touch screen buttons while moving. After doing my research, I found out the about the ML+. It was a decent amount more in cost, but worth every penny. By the way, CONGRATS on the car Lev!!!!

I went with the VAIS Tech setup because OEM was no longer available. I work at a Toyota store and it had been discontinued. The tuner is available, but the adapter kit or "fit kit" to install the dang thing was discontinued.....I wonder about Lexus and Toyota sometimes
